The rules we hold ourselves to
Every alert is the same shape. The film and the showtime in the heading, the theater first in the body, the seats named. A lock screen cuts a heading short, so the part that never gets cut is the part that tells you whether to move.
New showtimes arrive one message per date. A theater loading a fresh week of schedule is one message, not forty.
A 70mm watch only hears about 70mm. We never pad an alert with a digital IMAX show to look busy.
We go quiet when it is too late to be useful. You set how much notice you need, and the watch stops speaking inside it.
Film news is two messages, ever: tickets on sale, and new showtimes posted. Only the seat watch speaks more than that.
