The rules we hold ourselves to
- Every alert is the same shape. The film and the showtime in the heading, the theater first in the body, the seats named. A lock screen cuts a heading short, so the part that never gets cut is the part that tells you whether to move.
- New showtimes arrive one message per date. A theater loading a fresh week of schedule is one message, not forty.
- A 70mm watch only hears about 70mm. We never pad an alert with a digital IMAX show to look busy.
- We go quiet when it is too late to be useful. You set how much notice you need, and the watch stops speaking inside it.
- Film news is two messages, ever: tickets on sale, and new showtimes posted. Only the seat watch speaks more than that.
